There’s lots of people who believe that shaving your hair causes it to grow back thicker, fuller, and darker. Is this a myth or is this fact?
To answer this question, we need to understand how the hair grows from our body. Hair grows from the follicles deep within our skin epidermis. Shaving or cutting hair does not affect its roots so its pretty obvious what the answer is. It’s a big fat “No!”
We know a bunch of rookie parents who just had newborns. Some babies grow a thin head of hair so parents believe that shaving the baby’s first head of hair will make it grow faster and thicker. Of course it grows back exactly the same. And for men who just don’t have the ability to grow a full beard, does shaving every few days eventually lead them to be able to grow a fuller beard now? Nope.
